::Questions and Answers::

Can I only apply for a GP registrar post after completing 2 years hospital training or can I directly apply at the very
beginning of my career & later on apply for  hospital training?

Answer

In some innovative GPVTS schemes, you spend some time as a GP Registrar at the beginning of the schems (before hospital jobs).  However, you cannot apply for a standalone GP Registrar post (i.e. for those constructing their own GP Training) unless you already have the relevant hospital experience approved by the JCPTGP (PMETB after October 2005).
