Specialty Training Registrar Pay

Hospital Jobs as part of your GP Training scheme:

These are the pay scales from August 2007 (including the latest pay award).

Your basic pay will be the next highest from your current basic. The paypoint number that you start on does NOT relate to your ST level.  E.g. if you are currently a Year 2 SHO with a basic of £28,031, you will go on to the MIN paypoint (basic = £28,118), regardless of whether you are starting at GP ST1, ST2 or ST3.

The take home pay is your monthly net pay (rounded to nearest pound).  The net pay does NOT include deductions for pension.  If you are a member of the NHS pension scheme, your actual take home will be a little lower. All figures are based on a standard tax allowance (currently £5,225 - Tax Code 522L)

GP Registrar's medical indemnity will be reimbursed less the amount they would have paid for an SHO job.
