The General Practice with Primary Healthcare Section of the Royal Society of Medicine are delighted to host their 14th National registrars and new practitioners study day.

This year's theme will be centred on the brave new general practitioner and will include lectures by Dr Clare Gerada, Chair of the RCGP, Dr David Misslebrook Dean of the RSM, Dr Ayan Panja, GP and Media Doctor and Dr David Pendleton, Management Consultant of the Edgecumbe Group.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend two of four workshops which include two sessions facilitated by Dr Niraj Patel and his co-authors of "A Handbook of Practice Management", Deborah Bowman, Associate Dean of St George's University of London and Dr Alex Wilkins, Lead GP at the Urgent Care Centre at St Thomas' Hospital London.

This meeting aims to discuss issues relevant to daily general practice and to introduce registrars and those GPs new to practice to the RSM and make them aware of the resources.

By the end of the day participants will:

- Have the opportunity to learn about future changes to primary care
- Learn about new initiatives in clinical and management issues relevant to general practice
- Be enthused about a future in general practice
- Learn about the advantages of belonging to the Royal Society of Medicine

We do hope that you will be able to join us for what will be a very successful and interesting day.
